As with any product on the market the Nintendo Wii has been reported to have some problems associated with the gaming system.   The Nintendo Wii is a unique gaming system as it is very interactive and requires special controllers in order to play the games.

These controllers come in two styles, the one controller has features that are similar to other controllers for gaming systems and the other controller is long and held in the palm of the hand.  This controller is called a nunchuk and is needed to play various games in order to control the movement that occurs in the game.

Because the Nintendo Wii is such an interactive game, with players actually having to move, some of the Nintendo Wii problems are associated with the players themselves and their movements.

This gaming system requires movement on the part of the player and being able to use the controller.  Some of the Nintendo Wii problems are because of this movement and actually involve players getting injured. 

Some consumers have complained of injuring their wrists during play and have even been diagnosed with tendonitis because of the movement involved with the nunchuk and their wrists.  During some of the games a player is moving their wrist in a circular motion, and this repetition has been known to cause some of the Nintendo Wii problems that have been reported.

Another of the Nintendo Wii problems that has occurred again has to do with the nunchuk and players actually loosing control of the nunchuk and it flying through the air and either hurting other players or hitting the television.  The Nintendo Corporation has included on its nunchuk controllers a wrist strap that they strongly encourage players to place around their wrists in order to maintain control of the nunchuk.

Both of these Nintendo Wii problems have to do with players and making sure that they are being responsible during play with the controllers.  These Nintendo Wii problems can be resolved as long as the players themselves are paying attention and playing the games the way they are advised to.  Nintendo even has a web-site where they detail how to use the wrist straps and making sure to have plenty of room to play the games to keep players safe during play.

Nintendo Wii problems seem to be more associated with consumer's use of the gaming console as opposed to a defective machine.  The gaming console does come with a limited warranty in case of any major defects with it, so it is important for consumers to keep their receipts and be aware of the warranty information included with the gaming system.
